IT’S been revealed a recent British migrant to Australia was one of 11 people killed when a vintage jet crashed at an airshow on England’s south coast.
The death of personal trainer Matt Jones in Saturday’s crash at the Shoreham air show near Brighton was announced online by his sister Becky on Sunday.
“Thank you to everyone who has messaged me. We are devastated to say Matt Jones was one of the fatalities,” she wrote on Facebook.

She appealed for help in finding her brother on Saturday after he failed to return home. He had been due to go to the beach after work.
It comes after the Hawker Hunter jet failed to pull out of a loop and ploughed into the busy A27 highway in West Sussex and exploded in a huge fireball.
The pilot of the Hawker Hunter miraculously survived and is in hospital in a critical condition. Police say 11 people are “highly likely” to have been killed in the crash. Jones, of Littlehampton, West Sussex, had moved to Cairns in 2014 before shifting to Victoria, according to his Facebook details.
