Under The Southern Stars announces 2022 festival dates

Get excited Gold Coast music fans!

Under The Southern Stars is set to make a return in March 2022, with organisers today revealing the full list of tour dates for the music festival.

The event will be making a stop on the Gold Coast, with locals set to rock out at Southport Sharks on Saturday 26 March.

The line-up features Cheap Trick, Bush and Stone Temple Pilots, as well as Australian rock royalty Rose Tattoo and Electric Mary, as well as the recently added Black Rebel Motorcycle Club.

Promoter Andrew McManus said after postponing the 2021 festival back in April, fans have been incredibly patient while waiting for the series to be rescheduled.

“After a difficult 18 months for music in general, I’m proud to be partnering with Gold Coast’s Hot Tomato and presenting Under the Southern Stars at Southport Sharks AFL Ground on Saturday 26th March,” he told myGC.

Under The Southern Stars 2022 will without a doubt rock audiences to the core and give them what they’ve all craved since March 2020 – a line up that features the bands and the music they love – both Australian and International artists up in front of them in the flesh and playing their hits, live… it has been way too long.

“We can’t wait to get back out there and bring major International live music artists back to the Gold Coast!”

Mr McManus said Under The Southern Stars has been granted approval for all artists and their crew to enter Australia under strict covid guidelines, ensuring the utmost health and safety of all event patrons, staff, vendors and artists and crews.
