A man has been charged with procuring a child for sex after he was caught out by undercover detectives posing as a young boy.
The 48-year-old man was arrested in Parramatta, about 9.00am on Friday, following an ongoing investigation by detectives from the Sex Crimes Squad’s Child Exploitation Internet Unit.
Police will allege in court the man believed he was speaking to a 13-year-old boy and engaged in sexually-explicit conversations with the child and made arrangements to meet in person.

After his arrest, NSW detectives executed a search warrant at a home at Dulwich Hill, where they seized computers and electronic storage devices.
The man was taken to Parramatta Police Station and charged with use carriage service to procure persons under 16 years for sexual activity.
He appeared at Parramatta Local Court, where he was refused bail to appear at the same court on Tuesday 12 December.
