Unique prize on offer at Somerset Storyfest Luncheon

Over 450 local business leaders, entrepreneurs and professionals will converge at the Gold Coast Convention Centre this Friday to hear from joint 2019 Australian of the Year guests, Drs Richard Harris SC OAM and Craig Challen SC OAM at the November Storyfest Business Lunch.

In July 2018, the world held its breath for the dramatic rescue of 12 soccer boys and their coach from beneath the Earth’s surface in the murky depths of the flooded Tham Luang Cave.

Long-time cave and shipwreck divers, Richard and Craig will tell their riveting story about the successful international rescue effort, the challenges, teamwork and how they facilitated the perilous rescue of these young children and their coach.

Storyfest CEO Andrea Lewis said she is thrilled to bring two incredibly inspiring and courageous individuals to the Gold Coast community this week.

“Dr Richard Harris and Dr Craig Challen are outstanding individuals with an incredibly compelling story to tell, and a wealth of lessons and powerful insights to share, so we encourage everyone to come along for an inspiring afternoon of discussion and networking,” she said.

Attendees will also be helping to raise funds to support the Somerset Literary Fund, which brings disadvantaged students from both local and regional areas to Somerset Storyfest and helps to facilitate literary activities throughout the Gold Coast and beyond.

There will be an auction on the day, with Remax Regency offering up a unique major prize.

They are giving one lucky Gold Coaster the chance to sell their property for Zip Zero Zilch, including zero sales commission along with a complete marketing package (up to the value of $50,000).

Remax Regency’s Justin Miller said he was thrilled to offer up the auction prize for such a great cause.

“Remax is all about community and families. The opportunity to ‘give back’ to an organisation like Storyfest and help disadvantaged children all over Queensland is one that the whole agency wanted to support 100 percent,” he said.

Whilte the lunch is now Sold Out, locals can still register to bid for the Zip Zero Zilch prize. For further details visit storyfest.com.au.
