University cheating scandal uncovered in Sydney

A LARGE scale academic cheating scandal affecting a number of Australian universities has been uncovered by the Sydney Morning Herald.

In an article published this morning, the paper reported thousands of students have enlisted Sydney company MyMaster to write essays and assignments for them as well as sit online tests.

This year alone MyMaster has reportedly turned in up to 900 fraudulent assignments, taking in up to $1000 for each.

The service claims to be the biggest in Sydney, with 100 graduates from Australia’s top universities writing its essays.

The company is allegedly run by Chinese-born Yingying Dou and is specifically aimed at international students.
