Unrestrained child in serious condition following head on crash

A child is in a serious condition this morning, after a head on crash in Norwell.

It happened along Pimpama Jacobs Well Road and Kirkin Road around 8.30am.

When emergency services arrived, it appeared everyone had been able to get out of the vehicles.


Though it’s understood a child – of primary school age – wasn’t wearing a seatbelt, and has suffered significant abdominal and head injuries in the collision.

He’s been rushed to hospital in a serious condition.

A second child was also assessed at the scene for spinal injuries and chest injuries, though isn’t believed to be as serious.

Emergency services were still on scene at the time of writing.
