Update – armed robbery, Burleigh Heads

A man has been extradited from New South Wales and is to face court today in relation to the alleged armed robbery of a Burleigh Waters jewellery store on August 21, 2014.

It will be alleged a man fled the Classic Way store with a gold bracelet before being collected by a second man driving a vehicle. As the vehicle drove off it will be alleged a shop assistant was struck by the vehicle.

An 18-year-old Tweed Heads man has been charged with armed robbery, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and stealing. He is to appear at the Southport Magistrates Court today.
