UPDATE | Currumbin Beach is open again after a shark was spotted earlier.

They didn’t see any sharks and the beach was re-opened around half an hour later at around 11:00AM.

The Westpac Rescue Helicopter will continue to fly overhead, keeping an eye on things.

Mr Imrie said the beaches are undertandably quite full due to the warm conditions.  He said Tallebudgera Creek is especially busy.
