Trio to face court after teen kidnapped, tortured at Logan home

UPDATE @ October 30, 2017 6.05am |  THREE people are due to face court today in relation to the alleged kidnapping and torture of a 19-year-old woman in Logan last week.

It’s alleged that on October 23, the young woman was threatened before being driven to a home on Clearview Street in Waterford West.

“At that location, it is further alleged the woman was held against her will and seriously assaulted by a 40-year-old female occupant of the house over a period of three days,” police said in a statement.

“On October 25 at about 10.55pm, police attended the Clearview Street address and located both women.”

The teen was found with significant injuries and was rushed to Hospital for treatment.

The 40-year-old woman appeared in court earlier this week and was remanded in custody.

Three other people have also been charged over the incident and due to face Beenleigh Magistrates Court today.

A 36-year-old Woodridge man has been charged with one count each of kidnapping, deprivation of liberty and torture.

A 22-year-old Woodridge woman has been charged with deprivation of liberty and torture.

A 46-year-old Waterford West man has been charged with kidnapping, torture and extortion.

Investigations are continuing.

EARLIER @ October 28, 2017 10.00am | A man has now been charged in relation to the alleged kidnap and torture of a young woman in Logan.

The 46-year-old is accused of confronting the 19-year-old victim and threatening her before driving her to a property on Clearview Street in Waterford West on Monday.

“At that location, it is further alleged the woman was held against her will and seriously assaulted by a 40-year-old female occupant of the house over a period of three days,” Police explained in a statement.

“On October 25 at about 10.55pm, police attended the Clearview Street address and located both women.”

The teenager had suffered significant injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.

Christine Louise Thomson, 40, appeared in court earlier this week and was remanded in custody.

The Waterford West man will appear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Monday, charged with kidnapping, torture and extortion.

EARLIER @ October 26 2017 9.30am | A WOMAN has been charged after a 19-year-old girl was kidnapped and allegedly tortured at a home in Logan over three days.

It’s alleged that on October 23, the young woman was threatened before being driven to an address at Clearview Street in Waterford West.

At that location, police allege she was held against her will and seriously assaulted by the 40-year-old female occupant of the house over a period of three days.

Officers visited the home about 10.55pm last night and found the teenager with significant injuries. She has since been taken to hospital for treatment.

A 40-year-old Waterford West woman has been charged with one count each of kidnapping, deprivation of liberty, torture and fail to appear in accordance with an undertaking.

The woman will appear in the Beenleigh Magistrate Court later today.

Investigations are continuing.
