Updated list of Gold Coast COVID exposure sites

LATEST @ 5.30AM, Friday, April 2 | A Broadbeach chemist has been added to the list of exposure sites on the Gold Coast after being visited by a person infected with COVID-19.

Anyone who was at the Giant Chemist at Pacific Fair between 1.45pm and 2pm on Thursday, March 18 is regarded as a casual contact.

People there at that time are urged to get tested and isolate until they receive a negative result.

They should also monitor for COVID symptoms and get retested if they start to feel unwell.

There are now 14 venues across the Gold Coast listed as exposure sites.

It follows two positive local cases linked to a hen’s party in Byron Bay.

EARLIER | Queensland Health has updated its list of exposure sites on the Gold Coast following the COVID outbreak in the south-east.

Two new venues have been added to the list, with all of Southport Park Shopping Centre now included.

Anyone who was there between 3pm and 4pm on Sunday, March 28 is urged to get tested and isolate until they receive a negative result.

The Woolworths at Southport Park had previously been included on the list.

Southport Park Shopping Centre has reassured customers that it had already performed a deep clean of the entire building on Tuesday night after the Woolworths was identified.

Stable Coffee Kitchen in Tugun is now also among sites identified.

People who were there on Sunday between 10.27am and 10.48am need to get tested.

Queensland Health has also amended the times for several of the venues including the Epic Escape Room in Southport.
