Upper Coomera woman withdraws kidnapping claims

A woman, who claimed she was abducted by an armed group of men in Upper Coomera yesterday, has withdrawn her complaint.

Four people were arrested on Wednesday afternoon after the woman fled the house claiming she’d been kidnapped.

The incident sparked a four hour seige, with police believing a fifth man hiding in the roof of the Ridgemont Place home, resulting in a large area around the house being locked-down.

At one point, police were using an amplified speaker to negotiate with the ‘suspect’ they thought was in the house.

The four men were located in a nearby car and one was charged with steroid and weapons possession.

Investigations are continuing today.
