US President Barack has finally joined Facebook, which was launched in 2004.
His page has so far attracted 45,277,453 “likes”.
It includes a message about climate change, and uses the backyard of the White House as a backdrop.

There has long been an account under the name “Barack Obama” but for the first time the President himself will be posting updates.
