Usain Bolt could be heading down under to play A-League!

The world’s fastest man could be making an exciting new career move and heading down under to do so!

According to The Daily Telegraph, Usain Bolt could soon be swapping his running shoes for football boots, with the superstar sprinter reportedly in talks with A-League club the Central Coast Mariners.

It’s understood the 31-year-old Olympian is looking at joining the NSW club on a six-week trial within the next few months.

Central Coast Mariners CEO Shaun Mielekamp confirmed the exciting news on Channel Seven’s Sunrise this morning.

“There’s still a lot of work to do, but things are very positive at the moment,” Mr Mielekamp said of the potential signing.

“We are really excited, it looks like a good six-week trial period that we will be able to facilitate and if all goes well, who knows, he might be lining up for the A-League this season.”

Mr Mielekamp said if Bolt is “as good as our reports are saying he can be” then that would be “very exciting”.

“I’m sure that this stadium would be pretty full every time we put the boots on,” he said.
