Ute driver killed in crash on Central Coast highway

A MAN has been killed in a horror crash with a truck on the NSW Central Coast.

The accident happened on the M1 at Mount White around 4.45pm.

Police said the man’s ute collided with a pantech truck.

It’s understood both vehicles were travelling north at the time of the accident.

The man behind the wheel of the ute died at the scene, police said.

Police are still trying to confirm his identity.

The truck driver escaped serious injury and has been taken to hospital for mandatory drug and alcohol tests.

The crash has blocked two northbound lanes of the M1, with extensive delays being experienced.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
