V8 Supercars will make a public show of support towards AFL star Adam Goodes.
A replica of Goodes’ No.37 Swans jersey will be visible on track during the broadcast of Friday’s practice session and during Sunday’s 65-lap race at the Queensland Raceway.
“V8 Supercars would like to express its support for Adam Goodes, the 2014 Australian of the Year and a champion athlete with the Sydney Swans,” V8 Supercars chief executive James Warburton said.
“We realise this has been a divisive issue in the community but we want to acknowledge Adam who is not playing this weekend.

“The thoughts of the motorsport community are with Adam Goodes and we look forward to hopefully seeing him back on the football field soon.”
