Vehicle ‘comes into contact’ with Gold Coast tram

ONE person is being assessed by paramedics after an incident involving a tram on the Gold Coast.

Queensland Ambulance said a vehicle come into contact with a tram in Surfers Paradise.

It happened near the Surfers Paradise North tram stop on Surfers Paradise Boulevard about 2pm.


Paramedics are on the scene assessing a patient with minor lacerations. Police are also in attendance.

The patient’s gender and age is not known.

Translink says southbound trams are delayed up to 15 minutes between Surfers Paradise and Broadbeach.
