Venice to ban noisy suitcases from city streets
VENETIAN residents have decided they want some peace and quiet.
Tourists will need to ensure they have noise-free wheels on their suitcases or they will need to carry their suitcases around the city if new laws are introduced by the local council.
Truck drivers will also be banned from using trolleys for the final leg of deliveries to businesses and residences within the city.
Those not abiding to the new rules could face a fine of up to €500 ($A712).
