VIC: 275kg of ICE found hidden under shipping container floorboards
More than 275 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine with a street value of around $275 million has been found hidden under the floorboards of three shipping containers in Melbourne.
The Victoria Joint Organised Crime Task Force made the massive discovery after being alerted to an organised syndicate importing illegal drugs into Australia via shipping consignments.
Following the discovery, search warrants were executed in the Melbourne suburbs of South Yarra, Braybrook, Bayswater, Brunswick, Box Hill and Glen Waverley.
Eight men, including one Malaysian and seven Australian citizens have been charged with multiple drug offences.
