Victoria records 15 new coronavirus cases, one more death

Victoria has recorded a slight spike in daily coronavirus infections, with 15 more cases diagnosed overnight.

That’s up on yesterday’s figure of nine, but the rolling 14 day average has continued to steadily drop.

It now sits at 10.6, down from 11.6 yesterday.

Sadly, another death was also reported over the last 24 hours.

It brings Victoria’s death toll to 807, and the national death toll to 895.

The age and gender of the person who passed away is not yet known.

The Victorian Premier and health authorities will provide further information later this morning.
