Victoria records 41 new coronavirus cases, 9 more deaths
Good news for Victoria this morning, with just 41 new cases of coronavirus diagnosed overnight.
It’s the lowest number of daily infections since the end of June, as the state prepares for a lengthy recovery from stage four lock down restrictions.
Yesterday, residents within the Greater Melbourne area were told the lock down will be extended for at least another two weeks, provided case numbers stay low.

There was also another nine deaths reported overnight, bringing the state’s death toll to 675.
While the national coronavirus death toll now sits at 762.
The Victorian Premier and health authorities are expected to provide further details later this morning.
