Victoria records 70 new coronavirus cases, five deaths
Much better numbers for Victoria today, two weeks out from the end of the stage four lock down.
There have been just 70 new infections recorded overnight, one of the lowest figures for several weeks.
There have now been 19,150 cases reported within the state during the coronavirus crisis, with 2,620 considered active.
While another five people have died, bringing the state’s death toll to 570.
It’s a much lower number than yesterday’s report of 41, with a number of historic deaths included in the figure.
The Premier and health authorities will provide further information later this morning.
