Victoria records 80 new local coronavirus cases
Victoria’s posted another record number of cases, with 80 new infections diagnosed overnight.
It’s the highest daily figure for this outbreak, showing case numbers are not going in the direction authorities were hoping for.
Of the 80 cases, only 39 were in quarantine throughout their infectious period.
67 of the cases are connected to existing clusters, meaning 13 are under investigation.
Reported yesterday: 80 new local cases and no new cases acquired overseas.

– 56,248 test results were received

It comes after the state opened up Pfizer appointments to those under the age of 40 years old yesterday.
