Victoria records another 13 local Covid-19 cases

There have been another 12 local coronavirus cases diagnosed in Victoria overnight, in addition to the one announced yesterday.

It comes as the state nears the end of its five-day lockdown, with concerns it will still have to be extended.

Further details about the cases are not yet known, but the one that was confirmed yesterday is in the regional area of Mildura.

54,839 tests were conducted around the state, while almost 15,000 vaccine doses were administered.

There are now 81 active infections in Victoria, including those diagnosed in hotel quarantine.

Authorities are expected to provide more information later this morning.
