Victoria’s recorded a slight spike in coronavirus deaths overnight, but the daily infection rate continues to stay low.
Eight more people died from the virus overnight, while another 14 new infections were recorded.
The ages and genders of those who’ve passed away is not yet know, with authorities to provide more information later this morning.

The low daily infection rate brings the state’s rolling 14 day average down to 25.1, just days before more restrictions are set to ease.
The Victoria Premier will give more information about exactly what will change on Sunday, provided results stay this good.
Victoria’s coronavirus death toll now sits at 781, while the national toll is at 869.
