Another eight people have now passed away in Victoria, according to the latest daily figure report.
The fatality number is significantly better than previous days, after two days in a row of 19 deaths reported, and a record of 21 yesterday.
The ages and genders of the deaths are yet to be revealed, with authorities to address the media later today.

Overnight, another 278 infections were reported as well. That’s also a slight decrease on previous figures, and the lowest number of cases since July 20.
But, we’re being warned there will still be dark days ahead, with the full effects of the new lockdown measures to be felt in a few more weeks.
Victoria’s death toll now sits at 275, while the national toll is at 360.
