Victoria has recorded its first 24 hour period of no new coronavirus deaths in two months.
The last time the state had zero new deaths was July 13, over two months ago.
While the state has recorded another 42 new infections overnight, keeping the daily infection rate below 50.

It brings the rolling 14 day average closer to the figure needed to further ease restrictions. It now sits at 52.9.
There have now been 19,914 infections in total within the state, along with 729 deaths.
Authorities will provide more details later today.
