Victoria records no new coronavirus deaths two days in a row

Further good news for Victoria this morning, with the state recording two days in a row of no new coronavirus deaths.

That hasn’t happened since the beginning of the state’s second wave back in July.

It means the state’s coronavirus death toll remains at 809, and the national toll sits at 897.

There were also another 11 coronavirus cases, with the daily infection rate continuing to hang around that mark.

The rolling 14 day average continues to sit just under 10, at 9.4.

The Victorian Premier and health authorities will provide further information later this morning.
