Victoria reports another 16 deaths, 279 new coronavirus cases
Another 16 people have sadly passed away from coronavirus in Victoria, skyrocketing the national death toll towards 400.
It brings the state’s death toll to 309, and the national death toll to 395.
Age and gender details of the deaths are yet to be released, with authorities to provide more details sometime this afternoon.
While there’s been another lower number of new infections reported, with just 279 positive tests in the last 24 hours.
The figures are usually released online around 9.00am, but were slightly delayed today due to ‘problems with overnight processing’.
The Victorian Government has now yet confirmed a time for this afternoon’s press conference.
