VIDEO: Caine Eckstein breaks world record for most pull-ups in 24 hours

Gold Coast Ironman Caine Eckstein has once again broken the Guinness World Record for the most pull-ups over a 24 hour period.

The 5-time Coolangatta Gold Champion managed to complete 7620 pull-ups in 24 hours at BMD Northcliffe Surf Club.

In October 2014, Eckstein broke the records for most pull-ups in 12 hours (4210) and most pull-ups in 24 hours (4182). Although in May this year, Eckstein’s 24 hour record was beaten by Rodney Hahn with 6,844 repetitions.

Eckstein was originally aiming to do 7000 pull-ups to beat the record. However, overnight news broke that US athlete Andrew Shapiro had set a new record of 7306.

Eckstein wasn’t fazed and went on on to smash the new record by 314.
