VIDEO: Goggomobils cheer up sick kids at Cooly Rocks On

Vintage cars have always been the stars at Cooly Rocks On, but this morning some tiny starlets of the festival, the goggomobils, took to the streets to put smiles on the faces of sick kids.

A fleet of 12 colourful goggomobils, driven by national car club ‘The Goggonutters’, took kids from TLC for Kids and the Mudgeeraba Special School for a car cruise up and down Coolangatta. TLC for Kids is a charity that helps brighten the lives of local children suffering an illness in hospital.

TLC for Kids Gold Coast Affiliate Team Leader Dale Mansfield told myGC the kids were thrilled to get the chance to cruise in a goggomobil. “We wanted to bring them along today to give them a day out of hospital and give them an experience. These kids go through so much, they spend so much time in hospital, so a day out and an experience like this is something we really wanted to do for them.”
