All eyes will be on Brisbane Bronco’s tiny playmaker, Kodi Nikorima, when he faces the Roosters tonight, however, if Sam Thaiday had his way he’d be in the number 1 jersey.
The Broncos kick off against the Roosters in Sydney at 7:55pm with incumbent fullback Darius Boyd missing the match through a hamstring injury.
Nikorima is the likely replacement for Boyd, and as you can see from the video below Sam Thaiday put his hand up for the job.

New Zealand born Nikorima is expected to cop a barrage of high kicks from the Roosters.
He’ll be the shortest player on the field at just 174cm, and will have the tri-colours hulking wingers of Daniel Tupou and Blake Ferguson bearing down on him.
Rooster coach, Trent Robinson, tried to shrug off the tag of favourites saying he wants his halves, Mitchell Pearce and Luke Keary to have fun.
“We want to play our style of footy, we don’t want to be too tight, we want to make sure we go after it and enjoy our footy and play the moment we’re in,” he said.
“Our balance has been good, so I want Pearce and Keary to go after the game.”
The winner of the match will have a week off, while the loser lives to fight out their premiership aspirations in another final next week.
