Virgin Australia cancel all Bali flights due to volcanic ash
Virgin Australia has cancelled all flights to and from Denpasar Airport today because of an ash cloud from a volcanic eruption at Mt Raung in Indonesia.
In a statement Virgin said – “The latest advice from our team of meteorologists and the Volcanic Ash Advisory Centre is that conditions in the vicinity of Denpasar Airport have deteriorated and are no longer safe for flying.”
“As a result of this advice, Virgin Australia has cancelled all flights in and out of Denpasar (Bali) today, Wednesday 22 July.”
A travel alert will be updated at around 6pm tonight with advice on tomorrow’s services.
