Vodafone customers fuming over nationwide network outage
Vodafone customers have taken to social media to vent their frustration after the telco experienced a major nationwide outage overnight.
Just after 6.00pm, social media was inundated with tweets and posts from concerned customers not being able to access the internet, receive texts, or make/receive calls.
“Noticed a problem with cellular data around 6pm. Have had no service since 7:30pm. What is the issue and when will it be fixed?” one customer posted.
The company acknowledged the outage four hours later, taking to social media to update customers.
“We’re aware of an issue which is causing intermittent disruption to voice, data, and text services for some customers,” Vodaphone tweeted.
“We’re working to resolve ASAP. We don’t have an ETA at this time but will keep you updated. We’re very sorry about the inconvenience.”
The network was restored just after 2.00am.
Thank you for making my birthday special @VodafoneAU_Help ! No one could call or message me all evening!! #vodafail
