Vodafone users experiencing major network issues across Australia
Vodafone users around Australia are reporting a widespread service outage, which is affecting both internet and phone usage.
The problem seemed to begin around 11.30 am, with users reporting that they’d lost internet connection despite the phone saying they were getting 3G.
“Network down in Brisbane”, “down in SA 5000 – no incoming /outgoing calls, cannot get connected to mobile data, sent text messages but unsure if recipient gets it. currently 11:47am Adelaide time. started about 30mins ago”, “Zero service in Sutherland Shire, Sydney. Can’t even call customer service line from another provider!” read some comments online.
The telco says they’re aware of the issue and are working on it.
We are aware of an issue impacting 4G services nationwide. Data services may be falling back to 3G intermittently, causing congestion and slower speeds. We are working to resolve this issue ASAP. We apologise for the inconvenience and thank customers for their patience.
