Volunteer firefighter hit by lightning in Perth
A VOLUNTEER firefighter is lucky to be alive after he was struck by a bolt of lightning in Perth this morning.
The man was at his Parmelia home when he was hit by the bolt as a storm front moved through the city.
Paramedics checked the man over before he was taken to Rockingham Hospital in a stable condition.
It’s believed the man was suffering a little anxiety.
Two other people have been hospitalised, after the tree they were sheltering under was struck by lightening.
Surf Life Saving WA closed beaches earlier this morning as a result of the lightning.
