With less than two months until Christmas, the Cancer Council is searching for the Gold Coast’s best gift wrappers to help them bring an extra dose of holiday spirit to the region.
Locals can volunteer to help wrap Christmas gifts at the Cancer Council’s stall at Treetops Plaza Shopping Centre in Burleigh Waters from 12 – 18 December.
Shoppers visiting the Centre will then be able to get their gifts wrapped for a donation per item – with all funds raised going towards the Cancer Council’s work in cancer research, prevention and early detection programs, and support services.

Cancer Council Queensland Spokesperson Katie Clift encouraged locals to get involved.
“On the Gold Coast alone, more than 3400 people are diagnosed with cancer each year and more than 1000 die from the disease,” she said.
“Let’s pull out all stops this year and spread the Christmas cheer for a good cause – every dollar from every gift wrapped helps us support people diagnosed with cancer, and their friends and families.”
