The youngest child, a three-year-old girl, was left with “horrendous” injuries and is in a critical condition, fighting for her life in hospital.
The two other children, a seven-year-old girl and a six-year-old boy, are in a stable condition.
Local news website PerthNow reported how neighbours recalled the hair-raising moment the children’s mother ran onto the street, terrified, screaming “Help, help, he’s set the kids on fire”.
