WA man uses plane to drive to the pub

A MAN has used his plane to taxi down the main street of a Western Australian town to get to the pub.

Around 2pm, police were called to the Newman pub after reports a man in a light aircraft had taxied from one end of town to the other.

The plane reportedly had it’s propeller running and had no wings.

Newman Sergeant Mark Garner told the ABC the incident was being treated very seriously because there were children walking home from school at the time.

He said police had CCTV footage and were speaking with the plane’s owner, who is aged 37.
