Wallabies to call the Gold Coast home in major tourism coup

Another major tourism win for the Gold Coast, with the city set to become the training camp home for the Australian Wallabies.

In a massive boost for the city, the Wallabies Rugby Union team will be based on the Gold Coast for seven training camps.

The news is set to be officially confirmed by Gold Coast Mayor Tom Tate this morning.

The Mayor and Wallabies coach Dave Rennie will today outline how the camps will operate at a press conference.

It’s understood the camps will provide immeasurable economic benefits to the city through social media exposure and logistical support.
