WANTED: Gold Coast police appeal for help to identify couple

Do you recognise this man and woman?

Gold Coast police have today released vision of a couple at a Robina service station as part of a public appeal for information regarding the armed robbery of a man at Currumbin Valley.

The terrifying robbery happened around 11.30am on October 31, when a 25-year-old man was approached by two men near a public car park at the end of Currumbin Creek Road at Cougal Cascade.

Police say the pair, one armed with a knife and the other with a gun, threatened the man before demanding his property.

The victim handed over $100 cash, two mobile phones and the keys to his blue 1999 Nissan Pulsar, which the two men fled the scene in.

Following ongoing investigations, detectives discovered that the stolen vehicle was used to steal petrol from a service-station on Robina Town Centre Drive around 5.00am on Wednesday November 7.

They’ve now released CCTV relating to the petrol drive-off as part of a public appeal for information.

Investigators are urging anyone who recognises the man and woman depicted in the video to contact police.
