Wanted man arrested after traffic controller hit by ute in NSW

A wanted man has been arrested after hitting a traffic controller in Kensington overnight.

Shortly after 10.30pm, emergency services were called to Anzac Parade after reports a man had been struck by a car.

Police say a 63-year-old man was conducting traffic control duties when he was struck by a Toyota Hilux.


The controller was treated by paramedics before being taken to St Vincent Hospital for treatment.

The driver of a Toyota Hilux, a 43-year-old man, was taken to hospital for mandatory testing.

Investigations revealed the man had four outstanding warrants relating to alleged dishonesty offences that occurred during 2012 in NSW.

He will also face court by virtue of three Victorian and one Queensland arrest warrant.
