Wanted man in custody after seven-hour police siege in NSW

A man wanted on 19 arrest warrants is in custody following a tense seven-hour stand off with police in the Clarence River Valley.

Officers attended an industrial unit in South Grafton, north of Coffs Harbour, shortly before 1am this morning to detain the 46-year-old man.

Police said he was wanted on 19 arrest warrants.


Officers formed a perimeter around the unit and started to negotiate with the 46-year-old man who refused to surrender.

Then, just after 8.30am, the 46-year-old was taken into custody without incident.

He is currently being questioned by detectives at the Grafton Police Station.

Police said no shots were fired during the incident.
