AUSTRALIAN cricketer and test representative Adam Voges has been hit in the head by a bouncer during the Sheffield Shield match at the WACA ground in Perth.
The Western Australia captain was 16 not out when a short-pitch delivery from Tasmania’s Cameron Stevenson hit him in the head.
The sickening blow dropped Voges to his knees, however, he never lost consciousness. With assistance from medical staff, Voges was able to walk off the ground.

He has since been diagnosed with conscussion and has been withdrawn from the Shield match, retired hurt.
It’s understood the WA captain is being treated and monitored by medical staff at the WACA ground and will not be transported to hospital.
