Reporting by Mitchell Van Homrigh.

Queensland Police have caught and charged Samuel Terrence Rova on a range of alleged child grooming offences.

The 37-year-old Soloman Islander was arrested yesterday afternoon at Brisbane International Airport after arriving on an international flight.

Detectives say the man allegedly engaged in sexually explicit communications with an Argos detective who was posing as a 14-year-old girl on Tuesday and Wednesday.

He’s been charged with one count of using the internet to procure a child under the age of 16 and was granted conditional bail at Brisbane Magistrates Court on Friday morning.
