WATCH: Bloodied man steals car as its driver fills up at Qld servo

A man covered in blood after getting into a punch up with the owner of a car he had allegedly stolen has pinched a second car from a service station in Queensland, while its driver was filling it up with petrol.

Police have released shocking CCTV vision of the incident, which shows the man clutching at his bloodied nose and eyeing off a blue Toyota Land cruiser which had just pulled into the Greenbank servo.

The man had allegedly just stolen a Nissan ute from a car port of a Park Ridge home and crashed it into a ditch. The owner of the vehicle confronted the man, during which he was allegedly slashed with a knife.

Following a struggle between the pair, the offender was left with a bloodied nose and made his way to the Teviot Road servo where he sought out his next victim.

CCTV footage shows the man pull a knife from his bloodied board shorts and jump into the drivers seat of the Land Cruiser, Queensland registration 057 LQA, after its owner got out.

The bloodied thief drove off in the 4WD, with its owner giving chase before falling to the ground.

The offender remains at large. He is described as being Caucasian in appearance, approximately 180cm tall with black hair, a proportionate build and aged in his early 20s.

Police are urging anyone that may recognise him or has any information which could assist with their investigations to contact Crime Stoppers.
