Police have released body-worn camera footage of the moment a man’s dash for freedom came to an end after doing a runner from Police at Gold Coast Airport.
The 24-year-old arrived on a flight from Sydney around midday on Monday and was being screened along with other passengers.
But he quickly did the bolt, fleeing towards Bilinga.

Police have since revealed the man had a return-to-prison warrant out for him and had been recognised by officers.
The incident sparked a major search of nearby suburbs with officers scouring the area and cordoning off streets.
Officers from the Dog Squad helped track the man to bushes along the beach.
The man had even changed his clothes in a bid to evade detection.
He has since been charged with one count of burglary and one count of obstructing Police.
He is due to front the Southport Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
