Some of Broadway’s biggest celebrities have come together to record an emotional, yet powerful musical tribute to honour the victims of the Orlando shooting.

Stars including Whoopi Goldberg, Sarah Jessica Parker, Idina Menzel, Carole King, Nathan Lane, Sara Bareilles and many more gathered at Avatar Studios in New York last week to sing a benefit single of “What the World Needs Now is Love.”

“All of us in the Broadway community are deeply saddened by the senseless tragedy that occurred in Orlando,” the stars say in the opening clip of the music video, produced by Seth Rudetsky, James Wesley and Van Dean of Broadway Records.
