The Currumbin Wildlife Hospital is taking their annual fundraising gala online this year, with celebrities and plenty of animals set to make an appearance.
The virtually charged 2020 Benefit Under the Stars will be held on May 9, from 6pm-7:30pm, and will feature entertainment, performances, interviews, wildlife stories and an inside look at one of the world’s busiest wildlife hospitals.
Some big names have signed on to take part in the virtual experience, with guests set to enjoy video messages from Delta Goodrem, Joel Parkinson and Elyse Knowles, and performances from musicians Taylor Henderson, Casey Barnes and dancer Aaron Smyth.

The family-friendly online event is a chance for the hospital to raise much-needed funds in order to continue to treat and rehabilitate injured wildlife, a service that is provided free of charge to the community.
Last year alone the hospital admitted over 12,000 wildlife, a record number and one which is expected to rise in 2020.
“Due to COVID-19 and the current social isolation rules we have had to change the dynamics of our event however, I look forward to welcoming guests in a virtual space, from the comfort of your own home, to the 2020 Virtual Benefit Under the Stars,” said Dr Michael Pyne, Senior Veterinarian of Currumbin Wildlife Hospital.
