WATCH: Dangerous driver’s run in with unmarked cop car on the Gold Coast

INCREDIBLE footage has emerged of the moment a reckless driver almost takes out an unmarked police car on the Gold Coast.

The footage was caught on a passing motorist’s dash-cam and uploaded to Youtube last month where it’s notched up more than 200,000 views.

It shows a white utility performing an illegal U-turn and almost smashing into a fast-moving, oncoming sedan which just so happened to be an unmarked cop car.

After managing to pull off the dangerous corner-cutting manoeuvre – and unbeknown to the fact that the car they’d almost run off the road was full of police – the driver of the utility starts to drive off.

But he’s left stunned when the black car lights up red and blue – proving undercover policing is in full operation in the tourist capital.

“You don’t know where & You don’t know when.”
