WATCH: Drink driver charged after crashing car on the Gold Coast

An alleged drink driver has been charged with multiple offences after he crashed a car in Tallebudgera overnight.

The 20-year-old man blew almost four times the legal alcohol limit after he lost control of his vehicle on the Gold Coast Highway.

Emergency services were called to the scene around 11.15pm, where the car had crashed into a guardrail.

The man wasn’t injured in the incident, though blew a blood alcohol level of 0.197.

Police will also allege they found cannabis in the man’s vehicle.

The 20-year-old from Elanora has since been charged with driving under the influence and possession of a dangerous drug.

He’ll front court next month.
